High School Graduates 2003: In their own words
EDITOR'S NOTE: A high-school diploma represents a milestone achievement for any student. But for some, the road to graduation is especially difficult, filled with obstacles that take courage and fortitude to overcome, such as poverty, disease, the loss of home and family in war, drug abuse or relocation to a strange land with an unfamiliar language. Their success is all the more inspiring.
In today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer, graduates from the Class of 2003 tell in their own words about the daunting challenges they've met to earn a diploma and about their plans for the future.
